Michael Madsen’s Three Marriages: Love, Loss, and Legal Battles

Hollywood tough guy Michael Madsen, best known for his roles in Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill, had a personal life as dramatic as his on-screen characters. Married three times and father to seven children, his relationships were marked by passion, turmoil, and tragedy—culminating in a heartbreaking divorce filing just months before his death at 67.

1. First Marriage: Georganne LaPiere (1984-1988) – A Short-Lived Union with Cher’s Half-Sister

Madsen’s first wife was Georganne LaPiere, the half-sister of music icon Cher. The couple married in 1984 but divorced just four years later in 1988. Though they had no children together, this high-profile relationship set the stage for Madsen’s tumultuous romantic life.

2. Second Marriage: Jeannine Bisignano (1991-1995) – A Family Torn Apart

In 1991, Madsen married Jeannine Bisignano, with whom he had two sons: Christian and Max Madsen, both of whom followed their father into acting. However, the marriage ended in 1995, just as Madsen’s career was taking off with Reservoir Dogs and Thelma & Louise.

3. Third Marriage: DeAnna Madsen (1996-2024) – A 28-Year Rollercoaster

Madsen’s longest and most turbulent marriage was with DeAnna Morgan, whom he wed in 1996 while filming Donnie Brasco. They had three sons together—Luke, Kalvin, and Hudson—but their relationship was plagued by alcoholism, legal troubles, and tragedy.

The Heartbreaking Loss of Their Son Hudson

In January 2022, their son Hudson Madsen, a U.S. Army sergeant, died by suicide at 26. The loss devastated the family and reportedly strained Madsen’s marriage beyond repair.

Divorce & Bitter Allegations

By September 2024, Madsen filed for divorce, accusing DeAnna of neglect and alcoholism, which he claimed contributed to Hudson’s death. However, he later backtracked on social media, saying:

"I love my wife and our other four children and have no desire for divorce or blame. She had nothing to do with what happened to our son."

Despite this, Madsen’s lawyer confirmed days before his death that he still wanted the divorce finalized.

A Life of Passion and Pain

Madsen’s love life was as intense as his film roles—filled with highs, lows, and heartbreaking loss. His death in July 2025 left behind a complicated legacy, with fans remembering him as much for his on-screen charisma as his off-screen struggles.
